It`s November and Remembrance day is near, the leaves have (almost) all fallen, Halloween is once again behind us! What have you been up to? I have been focusing on my health and learning. I am always learning something online, taking courses on investment strategies or reading articles, growing with the changing times, and this year have improved on my fitness levels once again, getting up at 5:00 a.m. with the birds to start my two-hour or longer workout, which this morning included a three kilometre walk around my neighbourhood in a blustery wind! My daughter is also back home and taking an accounting program. So good to have her here!
 
 
 

 

 
 
A new role as VP Planning for the Kingston Real Estate Investors Club has proven to be quite enjoyable as well. I am getting to know some fascinating people who have a lot to offer! Ross teaches Lease Options, and Robin, how to organize your back office. Keeping contact with people you know and also making new friends while isolating is so important for our mental health while our in-person social opportunities have been temporarily on hold and especially with winter approaching. We are all so tired of zoom meetings, yes, but aren’t we fortunate to live in an age where during a pandemic you can still see people’s faces and laugh together? I think so. I’ve also set up a rotating list on Google Keep. It has all of the people I want to keep in touch listed. When I contact the person on the top of the list, they are then moved to the bottom and eventually end up back at the top as the list rotates. They might even get a note added next to their name if I need to remember something for them. I am so looking forward to starting this system! Try it!
